A plain-language agreement between you and Houcey.

These terms govern your use of houcey.com and any services you avail from us. Please read them. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who We Are

Houcey is operated by houce itech LLP, a home transformation company offering outdoor, interior, and protection services across India.

2. Services We Offer

Houcey provides home transformation services including but not limited to:

OpenSpace – Balcony, terrace, and landscape design and execution
Move-In – End-to-end home readiness packages
Protect – Safety doors, invisible grills, boundary, and railing solutions
H Corner – Custom design and fabrication

All services are subject to a separate works contract or project agreement signed between you and Houcey prior to execution.

3. Enquiries & Consultations

Submitting an enquiry form or booking a site visit does not constitute a binding contract. It is an expression of interest. A binding agreement is formed only when:

A formal project quotation has been shared and approved by you
A works contract or project agreement has been signed
An initial payment has been received by Houcey
Site visits and design consultations are free of charge and carry no obligation to proceed.

4. Quotations & Pricing

All quotations provided by Houcey are:

Based on the scope of work agreed at the time of the site visit
Valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise
Subject to revision if the scope of work changes after quotation

Price lock: Once you sign the project agreement and make the initial payment, the quoted price is locked. We do not increase prices mid-project due to material or labour cost changes on our end.

Price match: We offer price match assurance on like-for-like quotations. Terms apply – the competing quote must be for identical scope, materials, and execution quality. Houcey reserves the right to assess and confirm the comparison.

GST: All prices are subject to applicable GST as per Indian law. GST will be charged on each payment milestone and invoices will be issued accordingly.

5. Payment Terms

Payments are made in milestones tied to project progress:

Stage 1 – Upon project agreement sign-off and before design finalisation
Stage 2 – Upon design approval and before material procurement begins
Stage 3 – Upon project completion and before handover

Exact payment percentages per stage will be specified in your project agreement.

Late payments: Delays in payment may result in corresponding delays in project timeline. Houcey is not liable for project delays caused by delayed payments from the customer.

6. Changes To Scope

Any changes to the agreed scope of work after the project agreement is signed – including additions, removals, or substitutions – must be:

Requested in writing or over email
Assessed and quoted separately by Houcey
Approved by you before implementation

Additional scope will be billed separately and is not covered under the original fixed price.

7. Cancellation Policy

Before design finalisation: If you cancel after signing the project agreement but before design is finalised, a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of work done to date will be retained. The remaining amount will be refunded.

After design finalisation and material procurement: Cancellations at this stage may result in forfeiture of amounts paid towards design, procurement, and work completed. Houcey will provide a detailed account of amounts retained.

After execution begins: Cancellations after execution has begun will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Amounts paid towards completed work, procured materials, and contractor fees are non-refundable.

Houcey reserves the right to cancel a project if the site is found to be inaccessible, unsafe, or materially different from what was assessed at the site visit. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

8. Timelines & Delays

Houcey commits to a project timeline at the time of project agreement. We do our best to honour it.

Houcey is not liable for delays caused by:

Delayed payments by the customer
Changes to scope requested by the customer
Inaccessibility of the site
Force majeure events – natural disasters, government orders, labour strikes, or other events beyond our control
Delays from third-party suppliers or logistics

If Houcey causes a delay beyond the agreed timeline without any of the above reasons, we will communicate proactively and work to resolve it at no additional cost to you.

9. Materials & Brands

Houcey uses only vetted, premium materials and branded products. Specific materials and brands are confirmed at the design and quotation stage.
We do not substitute materials without your knowledge and approval. If a specified material becomes unavailable, we will offer an equivalent or superior alternative and seek your approval before proceeding.

10. Warranty

Houcey offers the following warranty on completed projects:

Structural warranty: 10 years* on applicable structural elements
Product warranty: As per the individual brand’s warranty policy for products supplied
Workmanship warranty: 1 year on installation and execution quality

*Structural warranty terms and exclusions will be specified in your project agreement.

Warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or external factors
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by modifications made after handover without Houcey’s involvement
Products or services sourced by the customer independently

11. Handover

Project handover is subject to:

Completion of all agreed scope of work
A joint walkthrough and inspection with you
Resolution of any valid snagging items
Receipt of final payment

Once you sign off on handover, the project is considered complete.

12. Contractor & Vendor Liability

Houcey works with a vetted network of contractors and vendors. While we manage and oversee their work, Houcey is not liable for:

Actions taken by contractors outside the scope of work assigned by Houcey
Products or services procured by you directly from vendors not formally engaged by Houcey
Any arrangements made by you independently with our contractors or vendors

All work on your project must be coordinated through your Houcey concierge.

13. Refer & Earn

The Refer & Earn programme allows existing customers to earn a referral bonus of up to ₹25,000* when they refer a friend or family member who completes a project with Houcey.

Conditions:

The referred person must be a new Houcey customer
The referral bonus is paid only after the referred customer has made at least 50% payment on their project
Houcey reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Refer & Earn programme at any time
Referral bonuses cannot be combined with other offers or applied as a discount on your own project

*Terms and bonus amount subject to change. Current terms will be communicated at the time of referral.

14. Intellectual Property

All content on houcey.com – including designs, images, text, logos, and project photographs – is the property of houce itech LLP unless otherwise stated.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
3D designs, concept renders, and project documentation created by Houcey for your project remain the intellectual property of Houcey until full payment has been received.

15. Website Use

By using houcey.com, you agree to:

Use the website only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the website or its systems
Not submit false or misleading information through our forms

We reserve the right to restrict access to the website for any user who violates these terms.

16. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Houcey’s liability in connection with any project or service is limited to the amount paid by you for that specific project.
Houcey is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of income, loss of use, or damage to third-party property.

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through mutual discussion. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Jurisdiction: Courts of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

18. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
